R.S.A. SUPPORTS MEMORIAL SCHEME

■ Full support for the Whakatane War Memorial Scheme was decided on at a general meeting of the Whakatane R.S.A. on Wednesday night. The view was expressed that, although the R.S.A. was concerned with the county as well as the town, a Community Centre in the borough was of benefit to the county. It was decided to recommend to the executive that war memorial appeals throughout the district be supported financially as warranted.
