FAST AND BRIGHT TOURNAMENT Playing fast, high class table tennis the Wairaka Club defeated the newly formed Whakatane club 50 -15 in a tournament played in the Winter Show Building on Monday. , With six tables in constant use, the 40 players competing in the tournament all had several games during the evening, and the organisers of the tournament did very well to get so many games through in the restricted time available. Paroa potted a goal into its own post to create a score for Huimai, when that team beat Paroa 2-nil in a hockey match for the Ilona Shield at Te Teko on Saturday. The best player on the field was a 13-year-old girl, L. Moses.
