Whakatane Harbour Bill Passed
The Whakatane Harbour Amendment Bill was put through its final stages and passed by the House of Representatives. The Minister of Labour, Mr Sullivan, member for Bay of Plenty, said the purpose of the legislation was to include additional land in the Whakatane Harbour Board’s area following alterations in the boundaries between Whakatane and Opotiki counties.
