Combined Stock Sale Has Fair Yarding At Te Teko
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency report having held their fortnightly sale at Te Teko. This was the second pig sale to be conducted in conjunction with sales of dairy, fat and boner cattle at Te Teko. There was a fair yarding of pigs, and prices were steady comparing more : than favourably with those of the previous sale. Cattle were yarded in large numbers and competition was keen throughout. Prices compared favourably with other districts. Prices realised:—
Pigs: Choppers, £6 12s 6d to £7 2s 6d; baconers, £5 15s to £6 13s; heavy stores, £4 6s to £5 *7s; light stpres, £3 2s to £4 ss; weaners, £2 8s to £2 19s. Dairy Cattle: £9 10s to £l9. Cattle: Fat cattle, £7 15s to £ll ss; boners, £4 2s to £6 17s; calves £3 to £5. v.
