Officers Elected By Racing Club
The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Whakatane Racing Club on Wednesday night:—-• Patron, Hon. W. Sullivan; president, Mr D. Radcliffe; vice-presi>-dents, Messrs C. F. Fivers and W. J. Sullivan; executive, Messrs G. Otley, G. Lodge, T. Anderson, J. Black, D. MacDonald, G. Fogerty, and R. Morpeth; secretary, Mr L. Perkins; auditor, Mr H. Morgan.
The area of metropolitan New York City embraces 1,375 square miles, of which 20.6 per cent is
taken up by rivers and bays. More than 12,000,000 people live within 50 miles of the heart of the city.
