Nominations For War Memorial Committee Being Made Slowly

Only half the organisations which desired to be represented on a Whakatane War Memorial Committee had, up to yesterday afternoon, notified the convenor, Mr L. D. Lovelock, of the names of their nominees. Nominations were to have closed yesterday and they will need to be received by Monday at the latest. The first meeting of the committee will be on Tuesday night.
