Library Closed Till Late September
It is expected that the Whakatane Public Library will not now be re-opened until September 25. The librarian appointed, Miss A. M. Brodrick, of Taihape, is expected now to take up her duties on September 11. A fortnight will then be required for the purchase of books and the general preparation of the library for re-opening. The National Library Services facilities are being made available.
