TANEATUA WAR MEMORIAL APPEAL MAKES PROGRESS

Twelve hundred pounds of “ the £ISOO required in Taneatua for the building of a Community Centre as a war memorial has been raised and no difficulty is anticipated in bringing in the reminder. The £ISOO will carry a subsidy of a similar amount, making £3OOO available for the building. Progress was reported at a meeting on Friday night. v A further meeting will be held next Friday night, finally to approve the plans for the Centre before they are forwarded to Wellington.
