Hospital Patients
A total of 164 patients were admitted to the Whakatane District Hospital last month. This number included 105 females and was an increase on the 151, who were discharged. There were eight deaths and 40 births, 24 being females. At the end of the month there were 96 patients remaining in the hospital, five more than the number on July 1.
