Problem of Feeding Many Visiting Tribes

One of the main problems confronting the organising committee for the Matatua anniversary celebrations will be the catering for the large number of visitors. All visiting tribes will be accommodated at the Wairaka Pa and the food will be cooked in the traditional hangi style. Sub-tribes of the district are assisting in the supply of food such as meat, potatoes and kumaras.

The organisation to prepare to feed the visitors is rapidly being finalised.
