Kowhai Women’s Institute Meeting
Mrs Cooper presided over a well attended meeting of the Kowhai Women’s Institute. A talk was given on Australia and Tasmania. A wall competition was won by Mrs E. Wilson.
Competition results:— Best flower, Mrs Miller 1; best vegetable, Mrs Rae 1; eggless chocolate cake, Mrs Rae 1, Mrs Molesworth 2, -Mrs Whitworth 3; knitted booties, Mrs Prowse 1, Mrs Rae 2, Miss Richardson 3. The hostesses for the evening were Mesdames Molesworth, Johnson and Miss F. Fife.
