Lodge Discusses Indoor Bowling

Mrs L. Newman and Mr F. Mollison were initiated into the Whakatane Druids, Lodge No. 97, at the fortnightly meeting. A lengthy and at times rather heated discussion took place on indoor bowling and the method of selecting teams for tournaments. It was finally decided to leave the selector, Mr J. D. Rivett, with a free hand to arrange teams as he has done in the past. The holders of the Indoor Bowling Silver Buttons, J. Hanright, J. Pickles, C. T. Bathe, J. D. Rivett (skip) were defeated by F. Mollison, Mrs E. Bathe, Mrs Grey and R. Schou (skip).
