Miss Barbara Wallace and her brother Bill, Whakatane, spent the week-end with their sister, Mrs S. McClinchi, Rotorua.

Messrs Brian and Gordon Winters*Richardson, Gisborne, paid a brief visit to Whakatane during the weekend.

Mr R. Civil, who has been transferred from the Whakatane Bank of Australasia to the Upper Symonds Street Branch, Auckland, commenced his duties on Monday.

Mr and Mrs N. J. Parker, Te Koporu, North Auckland/ arrived at Whakatane last week. Mr Parker, who has been for the past twelve months Home Missionary for the Baptist denomination at Mangakino, will help in Baptist development work at Whakatane.
