Edgecumbe Women See Demonstration Of Reblocking Hats

Mrs G. Irving presided over a good attendance of member's for the monthly meeting of the Edgecumbe Women’s Institute. A demonstration of re-blocking felt hats was' given by Mrs P. Lewis, who also showed members how to make straw millinery. Mrs Withy (snr) gave a short address on the rules and regulations of the Institute. Competition results:—

Cooking, Mrs Blair 1, Miss K. Blair 2, Mrs Gibson 3; apron, Mrs Blair 1, Mrs Gibson 2, Mrs Blake 3; violets, Mrs Learning 1; pumpkin, Mrs Watson 1; best flower, Mrs Blake 1, Mrs K. Watson 2, Mrs Sim 3.
