RUGBY, BASKETBALL & HOCKEY

Both -the Whakatane and Rangitaiki junior representative Rugby teams will be playing in the Shalfoon Shield series at Whakatane and Matata tomorrow and will provide the main games for each union. In addition the senior competition games will be continued for Rangitaiki and Whakatane and also third grade matches in the latter union. Basketball will continue tomorrow in the usual competitions at Whakatane while at Opotiki the Central Bay of Plenty B grade representative hockey teams will be playing Opotiki. Hockey competitions will carry on as usual on Sunday. RANGITAIKI RUGBY

The following is the draw • for senior Rugby matches to be played in the Rangitaiki Union tomorrow: Te Teko v Thornton at Te Teko 2 p.m., referee, A. Hegh; Matata v Edgecumbe at Matata 1 p.m., A. Kinley.
