Price Of Eggs To Decrease By Is 3d
Following the recent high cost of eggs the news that there is to be a considerable reduction in the price near the end of the month should be greeted with pleasure by most housewives. But the fact is that eggs, which are now 4s Id a dozen, are to be reduced in the wholesale price by Is 3d. However, the price retail will be about Is less than that being charged at present.
By August it is expected that eggs will be selling well at around about 2s 6d a dozen as more become available for the market.
