Tractor Output Is Doubled
To meet the heavy demand for > tractors,' production at- the Standard Motor Company’s Banner Lane works in Coventry, England, is being stepped up to 1,000 a week, and may eventually benefit Bay of Plenty farmers. This represents a doubling of the firm’s tractor output in the last six months. By cutting production costs the company, which makes the Ferguson tractor, has played a part in securing the important order recently announced by Harry Ferguson, Ltd., for 3,000 tractors. The order comes from Canada and, with essential spares, will bring in three million dollars to Britain.*
