Whitebart Scarce
Although whitebait have been running in the Bay of Plenty in the last few weeks they have been coming up-river in such small quantities it is doubtful if any have so far been caught. Fishermen .who watch the move of the whitebait each year say they do not expect them to make an appearance in any number until well into next month. Last year some good catches were being made during July.
