Aid for China and food for Britain were matters discussed. Regarding the former the League of Red Cross Societies states it considers it imprudent to despatch any supplies to China as it is not satisfied that goods will reach those for whom they are intended. Funds on hand should loe held till further advice is received. Replies are still awaited from Dr Woo, President of Chinese Red Cross, who has been asked for advice. His last letter stated that the blockade would prevent supplies reaching the Chinese Red Cross.

Food For Britain The British Red Cross has been asked to advise if food and clothing are still needed. The reply stated that the British Red Cross runs convalescent depots all over the British Isles, and has real need of food and clothing.

Mr Gibsons stated that £16,000 had been spend by the Waikato Centre on Food for Britain. Recently at the request of this Centre ten cases of food were sent to a Tuberculosis Clinic in Bennenden, Kent, and food parcels were distributed by Her Majesty the Queen.
