BAY TEAM CHANGED FOR THAMES VALLEY

There have been a number of changes in the Bay of Plenty Rugby team to meet Thames Valley at Waihi on August 5. K. Sullivan has been replaced at second five-eighths by M. Delamere, while Kapua has moved into centre and his place on the wing has been taken by B. McGougan. In the forwards the lock, James, is now a reserve and is replaced by Tamqpo. A surprising change in the front row is the dropping of Trotman, who is replaced by Gcbolinsky. WHAKATANE’S SHIELD FIXTURES Whakatane’s next Rugby match in the Hurinui Apanui Shield series will be against the holders, Rotorua, to be played at Rotorua on August 19. Whakatane B, who are the present holders of the Moore Shield will defend it against Galatea at Whakatane on August 5. The Whakatane junior representative team will meet Apanui at Whakatane on Saturday.
