HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS
Whakatane High School Rugby and basketball teams had a successful day in the first of annual interschool fixtures with Matamata College at Whakatane on Saturday. In a meeting between senior Rugby teams the final score was a 6-all draw while in basketball Whakatane won 33 goals to 26. The Matamata teams were billeted at Whakatane but returned home yesterday.
