Flower Display At Waimana
A display of small bowls of bright flowers, berries and lush foliage was a particularly striking feature of the monthly meeting of the Waimana Women’s Institute Gardening Circle, held at the home of Mrs M. King. An article on arranging flowers and other floral displays was read by Mrs C. Wylde. A competition recognising leaves was won by Mesdames Wylde and R. Hodgson with Mrs J. Mitchell third. A treasure hunt was won by Mrs Steve Eagle. The judge for other competitions was Mrs Poole. Results: —
Flower, Mrs N. Eagle 1, Mrs King 2, Mrs Wylde 3; vegetable, Mrs King 1, Mrs Hodgson 2, Mrs Mitchell 3; bowl of flowers, Mrr Mitchell 1, Mrs Wyide 2, Mrs King 3.
