HILL—ARMSTRONG
A pretty wedding was solemnised at St. George’s Anglican Church, Whakatane, between Beverley Patricia, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs C. S. Armstrong, The Heads. Whakatane, and George Allen, eldest son of Mr and Mrs E. H. Hill, ‘ Bluegums”, Taneatua , The bride, wearing a classic trained gown of cream embossed satin finished with tiny covered buttons from the neckline to the waist ar-.d a tulle veil held in place by a coronet of orange blossom, made a charming picture as she entered the Church escorted by her father. She carried a bouquet of white camellias, ch?ysan«hemums and paper whites.
The bridesmaids were Misses Margaret Farrell and Joan Armstrong, sister of the bride, who were daintily attired in delphinium blue taffeta and carried cyclamen bouquets of chrysanthemums and cyclamen. The bridegroom was attended by his brother Mr Roger Hill end the bride’s brother, Mr Peter Aimstrong.
During the signing of the register, Mrs T. W. James sang “How Lovely Are Thy Dwellings.” The officiating Minister was the Rev T. M. Loten, and the wedding music was played by'Mrs C. Fraser.
The bride’s mother wore a smart black and delphinium blue suit wita black hat and accessories, and the bridegroom’s mother chose a saxe blue suit and hat with navy accessories.
Mr and Mrs Hill left on a tour of the North and South Islands, the bride wearing a brown tweed suit with matching accessories.
