Borough Council Meets
There was a full attendance of all councillors at the monthly meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council held on Monday night. The Mayor, Mr B S. Barry, presided over Councillors C. S. Armstrong (deputy mayor), H. G Warren (chairman of Works Committee), R. T. Morpeth, E. R. Dillicar, W. Sullivan, K. Needham, A. O’Rourke, R. S. Buttimore and C. M. Lennie.
' The meeting was also attended by the town clerk, Mr L. D. Lovelock, borough foreman, Mr C. D. Molesworth, and the electrical engineer, Mr F. W. Lysaght.
