Pleasant Party Held At Edgecumbe
A very pleasant evening was given at Edgecumbe in honour of Miss Mary Jespersen, who is to be married shortly. The hostess was Mrs C. Plank and the programme was in the hands of Mrs T. G. Roberts. A very attractive shoulder spray of pink point cactus flowers and maiden hair fern was presented to Miss Jespersen, who also received many useful and decorative gifts. Items were given by Mrs J. Jespersen and Miss Mary Jespersen. and a duet by Misses Lorraine Robberts and Esme Hunter. Piario solos were presented by Master Howard Plank, who also perfofmed an Irish Jig. . A competition for the best hat made from a small square of newspaper and a few pins bv ought forth some snappy creations. The winner was Miss Jespersen. Other competkipns were: Tennis wedding, Mrs F. Kirk; memory test. Miss P Conway; food colours, Mrs L. Cunningham; musical quiz, Mrs Cunningham.
