Successful Clearing Sale Held At Waimana

A most successful clearing sale on account of Mr J. D. Leather, Waimana, was conducted by the New-Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. This fixture which comprised mainly the offering of Mr Leather’s Shorthorn herd, attracted a great deal of local and outside buyers who competed freely on the stock offered.

Cattle came before the public in very good sale order and condition and prices realised were well in accordance with those prevailing at recent fixtures and maintained a high selling average throughout. Prices realised:—

Shorthodn dairy cows, £l3 10s to £2l; Shorthorn heifers, £l2 10s to £lB 10s; Jersey cows, £l4 to £2l; Jersey heifers. £l4 5s to £l7.
