Baconers Sell Well At Fortnightly Sale

Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their fortnightly Opotiki pig sale on Monday when there was a small yarding of bacon and a medium yarding of store and weaner pigs. Baconers continued to sell exceptionally well, making values definitely in the .vendors favour. Store and weaner pigs met with a steady market and sold at prices agreeable to vendors. Realisations were:—

Heavy bacon, £6 10s to £6 15s; medium bacon, £6 7s to £6 11s; light bacon, £5 18s to £6 2s; heavy choppers, £8 ss; small stores £2 17s to £3 ss; slips, 33s to 395; small weavers, 22s to 255.
