“PLUCKIN’ DUCKS”
Sir, —With reference to pluckin’ ducks. Duck pluckin’ is a muckin’ sort of a job at the best so I wo'uld suggest that buddin’ duck pluckers place said duck(s) in a sugar bag (emptied first!) then dunk bag and contents into a copper of hot—not koijng—water, 15 degrees farenheit is enough, after three .minutes lift out and hang up for three or four minutes. This allows steam to penetrate the down. 9
This is the quickest and easiest method. But if you find it too much of a bore I’d suggest that the, next best thing to do is stick to shooting’ pheasants or only shoot the muckin’ ducks when they are in the moult!
Yours etc.,
“DUCK PLUCKIN’ HAPPY” Matata, May 26.
