To assist in the finances of the Whakatane Primary School an appeal is to be launched by the school

Confidence that the appeal would be well supported was expressed as most people in the district have an interest in the school. At present the school roll is 700. Usually the capital granted to schools is adequate for normal school administration. However, the needs Of a modern school go far beyond the ordinary costs of maintenance ‘and fuel.
