County Rate Is Reduced
Following the revaluation of the County the Whakatane County Council has decided to reduce the net rate during the coming financial year by 4d on last year so that the rate in the £ will now be 4 3-Bd. There was some discussion as to the possible wisdom at the reduction but it was pointed out that even with the new rate the Council would still obtain an increase in revenue.
