Whakatane Table Tennis Club Holds First Weekly Meet

Mr and Mrs H. Meyers, Mauriceville, were guests at an enthusiastic mght of the Whakatane Table Tennis Club in the Winter Show Buildings on Wednesday, which was attended by both beginners and experienced players. Mr Meyers, who has competed against both Barna ard Bergmann, played outstandingly It was decided to make the club subscription 101 for both men and women, with a charge of Is 6d a night to cover the hall hire and supper expenses. A ladder was drawn up, with all intending memItrs names, and open challenges are available until the first Wednesday in June. Officers elected:—

Chairman, Rev. T. Loten; club captain, Mr D. Haddon; womens club captain, Miss Joyce; acting secretary, Mr R. Ringer.
