Shakespear’s “Julius Caesar” Available Now In Comic Form

“Julius Caesar” by William Shakespeare is now available in cartoon book form for readers in many countries. The new 45-page book contains more than 300 di’awings in full colour accompanied by excerpts from the original Shakespearean text. It is the latest ill the “Classics Illustrated” series. Cartoon books tell stories or episodes in a series of drawings with “balloon” texts. The cartoon vea’sion of “Julius Caesar” was prepared under the supervision of a 20member editorial board in co-opera-tion with authorities of a University. Items such as the costumes and settings in the illustrations were checked for authenticity. It will be translated into many languages—including Italian, Spanish, French, Hebrew, Portuguese, Chinese, Afrikaans, Hindustani, and Tagalog—and will be printed in other countries by means of mats flown from the United States.
