THOMPSON TROPHIES ARE DECIDED
A -large number of members of the Whakatane Archery Club shot for the trophies presented by Mr A. G. Thompson, Rotorua, on Saturday. . The trophies consisted of two crib boards in the form of battleships, beautifully made in native wood, inlaid with Paua shell, the guns forming the pegs. The men’s trophy was won by J. Danl with 430 points and the women’s by Mrs R. Hunter with 308 points out of a possible of 648. The monthly Olympic round of 90 arrows at 30 yards also shot. Results: —Mrs R. Humer 668 points, J. Dahl 615, R. Hunter 594, Mrs J. Lynds 526; possible being 810.
