Senior competition matches if the Central Bay of Plenty Hockey Association will be continued o:i Sunday for both men and women. A Grade: Women: Rovers v Matata at Edgecumbe 1 p.m., Barton; Te Teko v Apanui at Whakatane 1 p.m., Grey and Edw'ards; Awakeri v Poroporo at Awakeri 1 p.m-., Jensen and Chamberlain. Men: Matata v Awakeri at Awakeri 2.15' p.m., Chaytor and Chamberlain; Riverslea and Poroporo at Edgecumbe 1 p.m., Civil and Marx; Whakatane v Apanui at Whakatane 2.15 p.m., Henderson and Mrs Grey. Rovers a bye.
B Grade: Women: Te Teko v Otakiri at Te Teko 1 p.m., Revell and Green; Huimai v Paroa at Poroporo 1 p.m., Moses and Hikitene; Taneatua v Paroa at Taneatua 1 p.m., Gardiner; Stars v Onepu at Otakiri 1 p.m., Tihi and Steenson. Men: Te Teko v Otakiri at Te Teko 2.15, Revell and Green; Huimai v Whakatane B at Poroporo 2.15, Hikitene and Horopapara; Taneatua v Rangers at Taneatua 2.15, Gardner and O’Brien; Stars a bye.
CENTRAL BAY TRIALS AT EDGECUMBE
All players of the Bay of Plenty Hockey Association available for country week, who were nominated or handed in their names to the selectors by May 6 are requested to attend trial games at the Edgecumbe Domain on Saturday, women at 1 p.m., men at 2 p.m. The final selection of players for teams are to be made at these games so that players not attending will have no chance of selection.
The men for country week will play a men’s B grade team and are requested to wear a white shirt. The following players have been selected for the B grade team:—
B. Harwood, R. Cobden, V. Peck. B. Barton, S. Kernott, A. Jacobs, D. Selvidge, G. Stewart, J. Blair, Hi Revell.
