New Scheme Of Appointing Jersey Cattle Judges
A new scheme of appointing judges on actual ability has been adopted by the New Zealand Association and clubs are to be invited to nominate three candidates stated the president, Mr W. R. Boon, in his report presented to the annual meeting of the South Bay of Plenty Jersey Cattle Breeders’ Club held at Whakatane. Three candidates were submitted from Whakatane, Messrs L. Berg, N. Reid and F. R. Looney, who attended at a field day at Matamata and submitted to a practical examination. Mr Boon referred to the successful field day held during March a.-.d he said that, the committee recommended that at least one be held each year. The active membership of the club now stands at 33.
