Whakatane Jersey Breeders’ Success
Five out of the seven prizes offered in the first Bay of Plenty Jersey Oaks, which was finalised at the Te Puke A. and P. Show, came to the club the president, Mr W. R. Boon, pointed out in his report presented to the annual meeting of the South Bay of Plenty Jersey Cattle Breeders’ Club held at Whakatane. prize winners were Messrs F. R. Looney I,'N. Reid 2, H. S. Hill 4 and 5 and S. G. Ker 6. Mr Boon said that the second of the Oaks was to be held at the Wha-’-.atane A. and P. Show next year. The final acceptances would be closing next November.
