Five-Year Term As Bay’s Delegate

Mr E. E. Somervell, Gisborne, has entered upon a five-year term as delegate to the New Zealand Bowling Council conference, representing the Gisborne-East Coast and Eay of Plenty bowling associations. Succeeding Mr C. Gordon, of the Bay of Plenty Association, he is the first to enjoy the extended term of office agreed on by the neighbour districts, which under the present constitution of the New Zealand Bowling Association are limited to one delegate.

Formerly the office passed between the asociations at intervals of two years, but it was felt that frequent changes did not promote the interests of either association.
