Waimana W.I . To Be Represented At Conference
Mrs C. Wylde was appointed delegate to the Dominion Conference to be held at Christchurch to represent the Waimana Women’s Institute. This was decided at the monthly meeting presided over by Mrs G. Hewitt. As it was membership day the chair for the social half hour was taken by Mrs E. Addison.
Two songs were delightfully sung by Mrs M. Tankard and a telegram competition was won by Miss June Stevens. A knitting competition was won by Mesdames R. Looney and S. Eagle. Other competition results:— Multiple bloom, Mrs Hewitt 1, Mrs Lex McDonald 2, Mrs F. Bell 3; single flower. Mrs Sterling 1, Mrs Bell 2, Miss Stevens 3; coat hanger, Mrs Bell 1, Mrs J. Mitchell 2, Mrs McDonald 3; vegetable, Mrs Hewitt 1, Mrs R. Hodgson 2, Mrs Bell 3; fudge, Mrs McDonald 1, Mrs Hodgson 2, Mrs Hewitt 3; potatoes, Mrs Hewitt 1, Mrs Bell 2. Mrs Hodgson 3. \
