SUNDAY COMPETITION DRAW
The draw for the -Central Bay of Plenty Hockey Association’s competitions, which continue on Sunday provide for at least three games in each grade. Some exciting matches were seen last week and there are definite signs that the standard of play is improving steadily. A Grade: Women: Apanui v Awaken at Apanui 1 p.m., Marx and Webby; Poroporo v Matata at Poroporo 2.15 p.m., Hikitene and Horopapara; Te Teko v Rovers at Edgecumbq 1 p.m., Civil and Crooks. Men: Whakatane v Matata at Whakatane 2.15 p.m., Chaytor and Mrs Chamberlain; Riverslea v Rovers at Edgecumbe 2.15 p.m., M. Thompson and Crooks; Apanui v Awakeri at Apanui 2.15 p.m., Marx and Webby. Poroporo a bye.
B Grade: Women: Te Teko v Taneatua at Te Teko 1 p.m., Revell and Moses; Huimai v Otakiri Stars at Te Teko 2.15 p.m., Mackrell and Schooner; Otakiri v Parpa at Otakiri 1 p.m., Mrs Grey and Mrs Grant; Poroporo v Onepu at Poroporo 1 p.m., Hikitene and Tihi. Men: Te Teko v Taneatua at Te Teko 1 p.m., Henderson and Barton; Huimai v Otakiri Stars at Te Teko 2.15 p.m., Henderson and Barton; Otakiri v Rangers at Otakiri 2 15 p.m., Mrs Grd and Mrs Grant, Poroporo a bye.
