MATCHES ARRANGED AT WHAKATANE
Rugby in the Whakatane Union will swing into the second week on Saturday when senior games will be played at Whakatane Field and Taneatua commencing at 3 p.m. games are timed for 1.30 and the third grade games at noon. At Whakatane there are two senior matches, with the third senior game being played at Taneatua. The full draw is:—
Senior: United v Paroa No. 2, Poroporo v Ruatoki No. 1, Wairaka v Taneatua at Taneatua. Junior: United v Paroa No. 2, Wairaka v Poroporo No. 1, School v Taneatua at Taneatua. Third Grade: Ruatoki v United No. 2, School A v Paroa No. 1, School B a bye. GAMES AT MATATA AND TE Matata and Te Teko will be the venue 'of senior games to be played in the Rangitaiki Union on Saturday but most of the other centres will be catered for by the junior games. The full draw is:— Senior: Matata v Edgecumbe at Matata 2.30 p.m., referee, Mr B. Smith; Te Teko v Thornton at Te Teko 2 p.m., Mr J. Hyland. Junior: Edgecumbe v Otakiri at Edgecumbe 1 p.m., Mr A. Hegh; Matata v Te Teko at Matata 1 p.m., Mr A. Magee.
