Much Assistance Given School By Awakeri P.T.A.
An electric clock and jug had been given to the school and cups of hot cocoa had been given to the •children during the year the president, Mr G. F. Worrell, stated in i his report presented to the annual meeting of the Awakerii Parent- \ Teacher Association. In addition the school committee had been assisted with the concreting of basketball courts. s ,
The head teacher, Mr E. G. Anderson, expressed his appreciation of the help and support given him by "the association during the year. The balance sheet showed a credit •of £l4 14s lOd. An interesting talk on the Solomon Islands was given by Mr J. James. Officers elected:—
