INCENTIVES WANTED
Sir, —After reading the letter by “Under-Privileged One” in Friday’s Beacon stating that “no district in the North Island has power cuts comparable with ours,” I opened a letter from a resident in Whenuapai who says: “We are getting no power cuts yet. Our water heaters and boiling taps function day and night. Neither do the lights go out. Of course I don’t know what might yet happen, but we are all right at present.”
What incentives can anyone get who have enterprising ideas in a thriving township? Yours etc., “WONDERING” Whakatane, April 28.
