Clay Bird Shooting

R. JULIAN WINS LODGE CUP

Conditions were far from good for the Whakatane County Rod and Gun Club shoot, and the standard of shooting was not up to that of recent shoots. However, in the senior club championship event, which carried with it the Lodge Cup a very fine performance was put up by R. Julian in scoring the possible of 15, and earning for him a very popular win. Results were:-

Rivett 5 equal 1. Lodge Cup, senior championship, 15 argets (16 entries): R. Julian 15 1, W. Hume and W. Mayo 14 equal 2. Sweepstake, 5 targets (12 entries): W. Hume, A. Mitchell, R. Ricketts and R. Julian 5 equal 1. Sweepstake, 5 targets (10 entries:) W. Kenyon, W. Hume and W. Mayo 5 equal 1. Box shoot: W. Mayo 1.
