WHAKATANE & RAN GIT AIKS SEASONS OPENING
Both the Whakatane and Rangitaiki Rugby Sub-Unions will commence the new season tomorrow and present indications point to a good year in both areas. At Whakatane especially will it be a very full one as there are strong senior, junior and third grades while in the Rangitaiki the senior competition is strong with the. junior and third grades expected to provide some good games. v At Whakatane Field tomorow third grade matches will start at noon. , These will be followed by the junior games at 1.30 and the senior matches at 3 p.m. At Taneatua there are two games, a junior match at 1.30 and the senior game at 3 p.m. In both centres where the games are to be played football followers will be assured of at least two matches each week. TEAMS FOR TOMORROW The following will represent Paroa seniors against Taneatua on No. 2 ground at 2.45 p.m.:— M. Jensen, K. Wana, D. Aukaha, B. Mokai, H. Reneti, B. Ruru, H. Ranapia, F. Uatuku, T. Hona, D. Tutua, T. Wahapango, J. Ratahi, M. Harawira, W. Hall, C. Hakopa, T. Rehe, S.' Collier, C. Pile, P. Wahapango, P. Nathan. The following will represent the Paroa juniors against High School on No. 1 ground at 1.30 p.m.:— J. Wano, K. Tawa, M. Tawa, J. Whittle, B. Tunui, B. Wharewera. J. Tunui, B. Harawira, S. Wano, H. Kingi, T. Rueben, T. Hohapata, T. Moeke, B. Clarke, B. Simpson, T. Hona, P. Nathan, W. Mokomoko.
United senior team to play Ruatoki at Taneatua, bus leaves Rugby field, Domain Road, at 1.30 p.m.:— Malaquin, Forbes, Kahui, Boyle, Parkinson, Rutherford, Callaghan, Haddon, Goodwin, . Hunt, Shaw, Ruffles, Butler, Dines, Howat, Mickell, Goodall, Gardiner, Mundy, C. T. Green.
