Edgecumbe W.I. Helds Well Attended Monthly Meeting

• y A well attended meeting of the Edgecumbe Women’s Institute was presided over by the president, Mrs G. Irving. The roll call, “My Best Bargain” brought to light some -wonderful bargains, even including a husband. Mrs Runciman was elected delegate to attend the annual Federation Conference in Christchurch. Mrs Blair and Mrs Simpson were appoihted delegates to attend the Bay-of Plenty Council meeting. The highlight of the afternoon was a very interesting talk on towns in Scotland, given by Mrs K. Ste Wart, Whakatane.
