All of the great number of trophies won during the year were presented at the annual trophy and prize giving social of the Whakatane Rowing Club on Monday night. There was a very large attendance of members and supporters.

Reference t<p the outstanding success enjoyed by the club during the season was made by the president, Mr H. G. Cutler, when he presented trophies. Competition had been very keen throughout and the club for the first time in its history had won four Auckland Provincial titles.

He thanked all those people who had supported and helped the club in various ways during the season and mentioned that hopes were held by the executive that next year the club would have its own new clubhouse.
