LIGHT HORSE CLUB CLOSES ITS SEASON
Saturday’s gymkhana on the Whakatane showground closed the Ohope Light Horse Club’s season appropriately. As was quite to be expected at this time and with a number of counter attractions, the public attendance was not large, but the day admirably served its real purpose of giving members and supporters a pleasant outing. There were good entries in all the main events, and winners of the principal trophies had to work hard for the distinction. L. Goldsmith took the Gordon Cup for the open jump, and the Nixon Cup (member’s maiden jump) went to\A. Magee.
