Mr and Mrs R. Ward, Whakatane, visited Rotorua during the weekend.
Mr and Mrs R. V. Mercer have returned to Whakatane from a visit to Auckland.
Mr D. O. Stewart left Whakatane last week on a visit to Manawatu.
Mr W. P. Tyssen returns to Whakatane tomorrow from a Sports Dealers’ Conference, which was held at the Chateau.
Miss Noakes, of Queensland, field organiser for the New Zealand J mior Red Cross, who has been visiting Whakatane left on Saturday for Opotiki.
Madame Winnie Fraser and Mrs D. Reid, New Plymouth, sister of Mrs W. Rowan, Whakatane, sailed on ’Saturday from Wellington for an extended tour of the British Isles and the Continent.
