Keen Bidding For Fat & Store Cattle At Te Teko Sale
A good yarding of fat and store cattle together with smaller yardings of sheep and dairy cattle were auctioned to a large and representative bench of buyers at the fortnightly Te Teko stock sale of the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited. Stock came forward in good order and condition and bidding on the fat and store cattle side was keen throughout, but on the sheep and dairy side was slow to begin becoming more favourable as the sale progressed. Prices were:—
Wether lambs, 29s 6d; M/S lambs, 21s 6d to 25s 6d; Jersey heifers, £lO to £l4 lGs; fat cows, £7 15s to £lO 15s; store cows, £4 6s to £7 15s; bulls, £ll 5s to £ll 10s.
