Manawahe W.L Sees Demonstration At Monthly Meeting
A demonstration by Mrs K. Bowes was enjoyed by the monthly meeting of the Manawahe Women’s Institute Thursday, presided over by Mrs E. Goldsmith.
Numerous items of business were discussed before afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames S. Mikklesen and D. Jones. Competitions:—
Best flower Mrs L. Baldwin 1, Mesdames W. Jones and F. Appleby 2 equal; shrub, Mrs J. Morice 1, Mrs J. Bowden 2; best vegetable, Mrs King 1, Mesdames Bowden and Jones 2 equal; felt toy, Mrs Morice 1, Mrs Appleby 2.
